So used up, so let down
If you feel so angry
So ripped off, so stepped on'
The morning started off as usual a russet colored feline being one of the last to rise. Upon waking he was immediately sent off into the wind swept territory that was his home in search of food. With much grumbling he complied. His long legs carrying him swiftly out across the moors. The tom was handsome, in a sleek yet rugged sort of way. He was a wild cat, a clan cat and it showed in his loping gait, the way he carried himself with such wild grace. His dark red brown pelt was perfectly groomed as he stopped frequently to smooth it with his light pink tongue. He was fully grown but still visibly young, barely made a warrior he had a slight look of immaturity in his bearing. The way his plumed tail arched arrogantly over his spine, the flourish in his step he practically skipped over the landscape, even in the energetic thrumming of his young heart. This tom wasn't old enough to be in his 'prime' yet but no one dare tell him that. He was the epitome of youth. He wasn't even out of breath as he skidded to a stop on a low rise. Smoothly dropping his frame into a hunting crouch he slipped down to hide himself behind a scruffy bush. With large ears angled slightly sideways and eyes huge with anticipation he looked slightly comical as he waited. It wasn't long before a pair of long ears poked up above the pile of dirt just in front of his tightly coiled body. A snuffling nose followed, a buck rabbit cautiously making his way out into the open. One hop, two hops, perfect! The dark red tom's hind legs uncoiled like springs. With a mighty leap the chase was on. The rabbit bolted in terror, the warrior hard on its heels. A paw full of claws shot out at precisely the right moment, hooking the rabbits legs and sending it spinning into the dust. Leaping onto his downed prey the tom dispatches it cleanly with a bite to the spine.[/blockquote]
Now the feline is out of breath, but also supremely satisfied. The buck is fat, having escaped the worst of the storm's wrath and feasting on the grass that survived, spotting the dry cold ground. The he-warriors breath huffs out in little bursts but soon settles to it's usual steady rhythm. With an arrogant flick of his tail the tom snatches up his catch and begins the journey back to his camp. Heaving the still warm carcass over the dusty ground he covers ground much more slowly now. Regretting wanting to go hunting alone today he curses through his mouthful of coarse fur. Tossing down his prey when the familiar sight of home comes into view he spits out a jawful of fur in disgust. Furiously grooming the bits of hare from his pelt he hurriedly removes the dust from his paws as well. Now presentable looking he resumes his dragging. Holding his head high and his tail likewise the bold young warrior parades into the Windclan camp with his prize. he practically ignores his clanmates as he passes his golden eyes glaring now. He wasn't exactly the most loved of his clan but he was by far the greatest of them in his own mind. Reaching the scraped out, half full pile of fresh-kill he heaves his rabbit onto the top. Smirking in victory he slowly spins around to see if anyone is looking. Catching sight of his leader sprawled on the ground he snorts. "Lazy lump! Shouldn't she be doing something useful for once?" Harrumphing the dark red tom pads away to sit in shadow cast from a lonely tree.
Resting for only a few moments Firefox finds himself horribly bored. He turns his enchanting gold gaze around the camp. A little disappointed to find that the nursery is quiet. Debating on poking his head in to visit the kits he decides against it and grooms himself again instead. The kits loved him and they would seek him out on their own. Snapping at a warrior who trods a little too close to his resting spot he growls in a half serious voice. "Hey go find your own spot you no good waste of space!" He laughs loudly at his own horrible joke. Firefox then hefts out a long sigh, he actually wants to bother someone if only to have a conversation.
