Eaglepaw stumbled out of the apprentices' den. The sun had been up for a while and Eaglepaw assumed that it was mid-day. The tabby she-cat had slept in, but saw nothing wrong with it as she noticed that the clearing of the camp wasn't very active. By the looks of it, most of the Clan must be off on patrols. Eaglepaw mad her way into the middle of the camp where the sun was shining the strongest. She laid down on the camp floor and began to sun herself. The warm rays of the sun felt good on the cool leaf-fall afternoon. As she sunned herself, Eaglepaw began to clean her fur. Licking her paw and running it over her ear. I wonder what I can do today.

Dustwatcher
'Hey anybody in this world Can you talk to me awhile?'
Bright sunlight flooded over the treetops. Bathing the earth in golden warmth. Several clouds loomed in the distance, promising rain. Below the skyline, nestled deep in the moor land, a hidden camp was beginning to stir. Furred heads emerged from neatly crafted dens. Grass rustled, the territory springing to life as the sun roused sleeping felines from their slumber. The entrance expertly hidden along the perimeter quaked, the night guard returning from his post. As if a signal was given the milling cats began to form rank. Splitting into groups they vanished from the clearing. Each group off to do their own task for the day. Most were lean, some were bulky but all showed obvious signs of being wild born. With scarred bodies and graceful movements there was no denying the fact that they belonged here on the wild moors. The clearing had mostly cleared movement from a out of the way den gave away a very late riser.
The old badger set had long since been abandoned by it's black and white monstrous owners. The burrow had created the perfect, secluded, hollow. Upon close inspection one could see several downy rings tucked into the depression under one end. A pale brown, faded black striped tom's shaggy face lifted towards the light. His long legs stiffly creaking as he rose up from his nest. With one shaking paw set in front of the other the faded male limped out of the sheltered place. His sagging skin draped so loosely over bone, the many scars decorating his dull fur indicated his old age. His hind leg dragged slightly creating a small line across the dusty ground. This tom was an old fellow one of the oldest in his clan, an elder they called him. As he proceeded into the open his once proudly flaunting tail drooped. His mouth opening wide to reveal long yellow fangs. The yawn ended in a soft 'urk' noise. His round face shaking slowly side to side, sides heaving in a now silent cough. The large paws stilled, striped legs wobbling faintly. He had not the energy to continue. His joints sighed in protest as he folded down into an uncomfortable looking position. One read leg splayed out behind him the other tucked up underneath him he was tipped halfway to one side. He pulled his forelegs in idly licking the back of one thin paw as he settles fully. His head swings around to glance behind him. A long winded sigh breaking from between his lips, he hadn't made it nearly as far on this venture as even his last one.
Dustwatcher sprawled in the stunning sunlight. His pelt warmed beneath the relentless sky giant. His torn ears flicked in irritation ruffled tail sweeping across the ground as he grumbles. "It's going to rain and yet it's still hotter than heck!" Dustwatcher was known to be grumpy, staying true to form the elder 'harrumphs'. His body may show all the signs of old age but his sharp yellow eyes are that of a younger, spirited tom. He turns this gaze on his home now. Sweeping it across the camp in search of his clanmates. The camp was fairly empty triggering another long winded sigh from the old fellow. He was hungry, and thirsty. Just where were the apprentice's nowadays? "No good lazy lumps!" He mutters. His huge head lowering onto his paws the elder waits for some cat to wander past. He certainly wasn't going to fetch his own food not while someone else could do it for him! The oldest living cat in Windclan Dustwatcher deserved to be taken care of, or so he thinks at least.
Notes; Sorry it's so long I wanted to break Dustwatcher out in style
Eaglepaw noticed the elder of WindClan had come outside of the Elders' Den. The apprentice watched as the much older cat complained about the weather. He is right though. It is pretty hot on this leaf-fall day. Dustwatcher mentioned that it was about to rain and the she-cat looked up to the sky. Her gaze was met with gray skies that were rather dark, warning that it would rain anytime soon. Eaglepaw got up from the spot that she was sunning at and headed toward the elder. Since she was still an apprentice and had nothing better to do, Eaglepaw decided that she would see if Dustwatcher needed any help or anything. "H-Hello, Dustwatcher." Eaglepaw said with an unusual shy tone in her voice. The elder was usually quite grumpy and the apprentice was rather nervous to bother him at all. "Is there anything I can do for you?"
Cracklestar padded out of her den and into the unusual warm air. She gave a yawn and scanned her camp and saw it was quiet as usual. She then caught sight of two cats. One being Eaglepaw. The other was the elder Dustwatcher. Giving a small smile she watched Eaglepaw go up and talk to the old tom. Blinking the calico cat padded towards the two cats and purred, "Greetings you two..'' Sitting down she placed her fluffy tail around her paws and looked down to the apprentice and asked, "You wouldnt be bugging this kind elder now would you eaglepaw?[''/b] she mewed with a smile on her face and a gentle look in her eyes. Seeing she only had 8 lives to her she didnt let that get to her. She saved eaglepaw and they were able to chase away the dogs. She still has fears of them coming back but as of now it seemed peaceful/
Eaglepaw didn't hear Cracklestar join them and when the leader spoke, Eaglepaw jumped in shock. She turned to look and see Cracklestar greeting them. "Sorry, Cracklestar. I didn't hear you coming over." Eaglepaw said, her ears feeling warm from embarrassment. "Oh no. I wasn't bothering Dustwatcher. I was just seeing if he needed anything for me to do. Is there anything that you want me to do, Cracklestar?" Eaglepaw said taking Cracklestar's joke a bit seriously. The apprentice was nervous around her leader, but wasn't entirely sure why. It's probably the fact that she is the leader of the Clan that I'm in.
Cracklestar gave a soft smile and nodded to the apprentice. Did Cracklestar need help with anything? Blinking softly she mewed, "Well the fresh kill pile is low.. so how about you come with me and we can help feed this clan?'' Getting up and turning around she started to pad to exit the camp and with that the leader padded into the forest and then stopped to see if the apprentice was following. They did need to hunt and badly. Leaf bare was coming fast and she had a bad feeling this was going to be worse then usual. This leader did not feel like losing any cats in her clan the next cold moons that would come.
"Sure thing, Cracklestar. I'll help hunt for the Clan with you." Eaglepaw understood that leaf-bare was just around the corner and that the Clan needed to collect as much fresh-prey as possible. She bounded after her leader, but quickly stopped in her tracks to look back at the elder, Dustwatcher. "Bye Dustwatcher!" The apprentice said with a shy tone. She turned back to face the camp entrance and began to quickly race out of camp toward the moorland.
